Wideband bandpass filter with high‐selectivity is presented in this article. An initial circuit model, which is composed of quarter‐wave coupled lines, is given and analyzed that sharp passband selectivity can be obtained by the two transmission zeros, which are generated by the short‐ended parallel‐coupled lines. Then, the quarter‐wave impedance transformers are added to improve the passband transmission and reflection characteristics. The filter is analyzed, designed, fabricated, and measured. Simulated and measured results are well‐agreed. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 56:1418–1421, 2014
