This article deals with compact microstrip patch antennas designed for broadband mobile communication covering the range from 0.88 to 5.43 GHz. The simulated results of patch antenna parameters, such as return loss, bandwidth, radiation patterns, VSWR, and gain are presented.All the antennas are fabricated using PCB etching technology. Measurements have been done using standard microwave test bench. Measured results are in good agreement with the simulated results. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
