In this letter, a new dual‐band bandpass filter with multispurious suppression is proposed using novel stepped‐impedance resonators (SIRs). The proposed resonator is composed of a SIR with embedded bandstop structure. A third‐order filter is designed and fabricated that shows a rejection level of 30 dB up to 20 GHz (8.33f 1 ). © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 56:603–606, 2014
