Compact multi and wide‐bandwidth printed inverted‐F antennas are proposed in this article. The proposed antennas are printed on commercial thin FR4 substrate with suitable antenna volume 20 × 50 × 1.6 mm 3 to be easily integrated behind laptop screen. The printed‐inverted‐F antenna (IFA) achieved by combining L‐loaded printed‐IFA with two printed underneath radiators connected to the other side by vias. By adjusting stub via location, it may be obtained multi or wideband resonant antenna. These antennas are suitable for GSM 0.85/1.8 GHz, long‐term evolution wireless 1.5, 1.9, 2.1 GHz and from 2.5 to 2.7 GHz, and industrial, scientific, and medical 2.45 GHz. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
