A miniaturized triband bandpass filter with high selectivity is presented in this article. The proposed filter utilizes a short‐stub‐loaded resonator, which can miniaturize the circuit size. The passband frequencies can be controlled individually. To stimulate the tri‐passband responses, a novel feeding structure is adopted. Seven transmission zeros can be generated by multitransmission paths. To verify the proposed idea, an experimental filter is implemented. High skirt selectivity and high suppression levels are observed in the measured results. The circuit area of the filter is 0.12 λg × 0.14 λg, featuring compact size. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
