A simple method based on the use of a fold‐loop dispersive fiber path is proposed for measuring high‐frequency modulation response of electro‐optical phase modulators. The method requires only a length of single‐mode fiber and allows high resolution swept frequency measurement with a vector network analyzer. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
