A switch controlled fourth‐order dual‐band bandpass delta‐sigma modulator (BPDSM) is proposed. It consists of two stage second‐order resonator, high‐speed comparator, multifeedback current digital‐to‐analog converter, and clock distributer. The band selection is controlled by capacitor bank, and fine frequency tuning is done by varactor. The implemented BPDSM shows a peak signal‐to‐noise‐ratio is 41.6 dB, 42.5 dB, an error vector magnitude is 3.06%, 2.4% in 882 MHz, 955 MHz, respectively, and a differential output voltage swing is 1.32Vp‐p with dc power consumption of 389 mW. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
