A thin layer with a high quality factor trapped‐mode resonance and control of its resonance frequency is investigated. The structure consists of array of two metal concentric rings in a unit cell supported by a ferrite substrate. We consider magnetization normal to the array plane and two orthogonal in‐plane directions. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
