In this letter, we propose the design of two new narrowband power splitters in waveguide technology. The proposed layouts are based on the extraordinary transmission phenomenon, obtained using metamaterial‐inspired bi‐omega particles. In this way, the power splitters operate in a narrow frequency range and allow rejecting the undesired spectral components within the operating range of the waveguide. The proposed designs are supported by proper full‐wave numerical results. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
