In this article, a three branch‐line coupler is proposed for the dual‐band application. The coupler can operate at two arbitrary frequencies and be realized on double‐sided parallel‐strip line (DSPSL). One of the advantages of the DSPSL is easy realization of high impedance transmission line. The circuit design parameters are derived using the even and odd mode analysis. The measured results show a good performance at 3 and 5.77 GHz. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 54:1898–1900, 2012; View this article online at wileyonlinelibrary.com.
