This research has proposed a simple, fast, and effective methodology entitled equivalent‐circuit‐cascade model for complex and complicated monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) consisting of the periodical guiding structure. After compared with the actual measurements, this method has been well verified to feasibly and rapidly work out, analyze, simulate, and design for MMIC electric performance. The CMOS broadband Wilkinson power divider being taken for study instance, it can much more obviously reduce the time and memory capacity of MMIC circuit design and analysis for three‐dimensional EM full‐wave simulation. This effective methodology gets one thirty‐first of CPU time and one fifth of memory capacity reduction improvements relatively under one failure condition. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
