A novel bear‐head‐shaped compact UWB antenna, with a variable notch‐band is proposed.It has a compact size of 22.5 × 22.5 × 1 mm 3 . It has variable stop bands that are obtained through changing U‐slot place on the patch, and it presents the selectable stop band frequency ranges. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
