In this article, we proposed an antenna array with multiband for wireless local area network (WLAN)/WiMAX applications. The operating frequency band of the antenna covers the 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN (2400–2484/5150–5350/5725–5875 MHz), and the 2.5/3.5/4.3/5.5 GHz/7.5 GHz WiMAX (2500–2690/3300–3800/4300–4990/5250–5850/6720–7790 MHz). This antenna has advantage of its simple configuration, low profile, compactness, and low fabrication cost. Microwave experiments and numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate its functionalities. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
