A slot array placed on the face of a cavity realized in substrate‐integrated waveguide technology is presented. Guidelines to design similar antennas are provided. The design has been done with the help of commercial software. The result is a low‐cost, directive array antenna with a single feeding microstrip‐line. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
