To accelerate radio channel predictions in urban environment, the use of the radar cross section is proposed as a compact representation of far‐field buildings scattering. Simple analytical formulas are obtained, and multiple scattering between buildings is taken into account by combining them with the ray‐tracing approach. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
