In this article, a new balanced antenna integrated six‐port receiver architecture is proposed and experimentally verified. The proposed six‐port architecture consists of a RC‐CR filter, baluns, power combiners, and a wideband balanced antenna designed to have 100‐Ω impedance. The proposed integrated antenna architecture can reduce passive elements of the six‐port receiver and has an excellent LO‐RF isolation characteristic. The proposed six‐port receiver is simulated and verified by the experiment in 1.2 GHz for QPSK 30 Mbps. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
