A novel triple‐band antenna with H‐ and U‐shaped slots is proposed for personal communication system/wireless local area network/Ultra‐wideband (PCS/WLAN/UWB) operations.The proposed antenna has a trapezoidal patch, H‐ and U‐shaped slots, CPW feeding, and a stub for impedance matching. We have used the trapezoidal patch and a stub to produce the UWB frequency band and H‐ and U‐shaped slots to produce the PCS and WLAN bands, respectively. Prototypes of the proposed antenna have been successfully implemented and good radiation characteristics in the operating frequency bands have been achieved.
