A modified topology structure is applied to antenna design in this article. An L‐band printed monopole antenna using trefoil knot structure is proposed for 1.25 GHz to realize antenna miniaturization based on the concept of topology. The proposed trefoil knot can be applied to other circuitry such as resonators and filters. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
