We proposed and experimentally demonstrate a bidirectional orthogonal frequency‐division multiplexing‐radio‐over‐fiber (OFDM‐ROF) system by using an optical phase modulator and a fiber Bragger gating (FBG) to generate millimeter‐wave. The downstream date is 2.5‐Gb/s OFDM signals and the downstream wavelength is reused without signal erasure. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
