A synthesizing method is presented to design Elliptic band‐pass filters in the microwave frequency range. The Elliptic band‐pass filter is implemented by using a coupled‐serial‐shunted line structure. Using a continuous perturbation of wiggly‐groove and ring resonator of the couple line the harmonic pass‐band of the filter is rejected. An Elliptic band‐pass filter is implemented to validate this method correct by measuring. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
