In this article, a 16‐element antenna array for wireless communication services is presented. The antenna operates in the universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS), ISM, 2.4 GHz worldwide interoperability for microwave access, and in the new UMTS 3G expansion band from 2500 to 2690 MHz. A prototype of the antenna has been realized and measured. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
