The battery pack is a necessary component of mobile phones and is located in close vicinity of the integrated antenna modules. The battery influence with different ground connection points was investigated for both dual‐band and tri‐band integrated mobile antennas. Experimental results are presented to show this. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 52: 120–122, 2010; Published online in Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com).
