Abstract A four‐way power divider can be designed by interconnecting three two‐way Wilkinson power dividers. This article investigates how the two‐way elements can be interconnected to achieve optimal response. It will be shown that by using properly chosen lengths of interconnecting transmission lines, the bandwidth of the power divider can be significantly broadened. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
