An all‐fiber interferometer with wide spectrum laser source to measure vibration is introduced. The interference fringes envelop decay caused by wide spectrum laser source under large amplitude vibration is analyzed. The interference signals is retrieved through solving linear equations, and the wide spectrum distortion while demodulating the vibration signal is eliminated. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
