An analytical, numerical, and experimental study of the dispersion of a transmission line with negative group velocity is presented. The propagation of amplitude‐modulated signals in the transmission line anomalous dispersion region is specifically analyzed, investigating the effects on the pulse reshaping of the system losses. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
