The applications of metal foam in the last years continues to grow up in terms of research and application even in electromagnetic environment. An analytical 3D model of metal foams is developed and discussed in this article to characterize the electromagnetic shielding behavior, showing good agreement results with this model, some prototype of this model, and experimental measurements of metal foams. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
