In this article, a compact three‐way dual‐frequency power divider is proposed. The circuit is composed of two sections of three transmission lines and four RLC networks. The RLC networks using planar lumped inductors, capacitors, and resistors can provide enough isolation and good amplitude balance simultaneously at two arbitrary frequencies. The structure of the power divider used to determine the design parameters has been given. To verify the validity, a proposed power divider was fabricated and measured at 915 MHz and 2450 MHz. The proposed power divider achieves physical size reduction of about 62% compared with the conventional one. Both theoretical and simulated results are presented, which are in good agreement with the measured results. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
