A novel wideband antenna, consisting of a double T‐shaped element and a coaxial cable, is proposed for multiband applications including AMPS, GSM, DCS, PCS, UMTS, and WiBro bands. The proposed antenna also mitigates the degradation of an antenna performance due to the human body. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
