This letter presents the design and experiment of a single‐cavity dual‐mode bandpass filter and a double‐cavity dual‐mode bandpass filter realized by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure. Both the filters are designed and simulated by network theory and high frequency structure simulator (HFSS), and fabricated using multilayer low‐temperature co‐fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results and validate the structures of the proposed dual‐mode filters. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
