An all‐optical reconfigurable high resolution microwave photonic signal processor is presented. It is based on a 2 × 1 electro‐optic modulator and an active‐fiber Bragg‐grating‐pair filter. Experimental results demonstrate a sharp bandpass filter response and a narrow stopband notch filter response which can be obtained by controlling the optical sources. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
