A compact dual‐band microstrip filter with equal‐length split‐ring resonators and 0°‐feed structure is proposed in this article. The frequency splitting effect of the equal‐length SRRs is described in detail. A 0°‐feed structure is introduced and applied to realize additional transmission zeros at finite frequencies. The measurement of the filter is in good agreement with the simulation. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
