Photonic crystals made of high‐permittivity ferroelectric materials exhibit a resonant magnetic response in the microwaves range, leading to a effective permeability of a few tens or a negative relative effective permeability due to the enhancement of zeroth‐order Mie resonances. This effective permeability decreases when the filling factor tends toward 1. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
