This study reports the X‐and Ku‐band microwave transmittance, reflectance, conductivity, and shielding effectiveness of nano structured electropolymerised polyaniline (PANI) thin films on stainless steel. Waveguide reflectometer method has been used for the microwave studies. Microwave conductivity varies between 0.85 and 0.18 S/cm. PANI thin films have better shielding effectiveness in Ku‐band than in X‐band. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
