A low‐temperature co‐fired ceramic (LTCC) X‐band receiver front‐end is designed using a novel embedded multilayer substrate integrated waveguide filter. The filter is a quasi‐elliptic type, fabricated into multilayers on LTCC process, making it compact as well as of low cost and high selectivity. Simulated and experimental results of the filter and X‐band receiver front‐end are presented. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
