A miniaturized two‐pole semicircular‐patch bandpass filter (BPF) with spur‐lines is introduced in this letter. Compared to the use of conventional feed lines, a reduction of 48% in the fundamental resonant frequency of the proposed BPF is achieved after adopting the orthogonal feed lines. Furthermore, the degenerate modes located at 5.14 GHz and 5.25 GHz can be excited by adding spur‐line structure. Besides, the gap between the semicircular‐patch resonators offers DC blocking. Finally, the simple and compact two‐pole BPF is demonstrated by measurements. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
