We have demonstrated an over 40‐channel multi‐wavelength laser comb source with the 50‐GHz equal frequency spacing between the adjacent channels over the C‐band wavelength range. The output spectra could be described by using the simplified stimulated four‐wave nonlinear coupled equations taking into account the third‐order nonlinear optical interaction in the single‐mode dispersion‐shifted fibers. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
