We designed and implemented a dual‐band square patch antenna with circular polarization for the reception of GPS and DMB. Resonant elements of 1.5‐ and 2.6‐GHz bands are entire square patch and inner square patch divided by slots, respectively. And impedance bandwidths (VSWR ≤ 2) are 61 MHz (3.84%) for 1.5‐GHz band and 138 MHz (5.15%) for 2.6‐GHz band. The implemented antenna has a good radiation pattern characteristic. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
