The effect of group delay ripple in fiber bragg grating and polarization mode dispersion on the phase shift of recovered clock signal and the sampling time shift is theoretically and experimentally investigated in 42.8 Gbit/s WDM recirculating transmission, which may result in significant BER degradation in high speed transmission. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
