A compact Wilkinson power divider with harmonic suppression is investigated. The size reduction is achieved by attaching two lumped capacitors in the middle of the two quarter‐wavelength branches of the conventional one. Also, the harmonic suppression is realized as a result of the capacitive loading. Centered at 1.5 GHz, a demonstrator power divider is designed and confirmed by experiments. A size reduction of 48% and nth harmonic suppression are obtained as comparing with the conventional one. Both simulations and measurements are presented, and a good performance is observed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
