Two monopole antennas using Koch loop and Minkowski loop radiators fed by microstrip line are proposed for WLAN applications in the 2.45/5.25 bands. To achieve the desired resonances, new configurations of impedance transformer with transmission line length close to λ/12 were designed. The prototypes have been examined, fabricated, and experimentally tested and found to fulfill with excess WLAN system requirements. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
