A bandpass filter using a single‐slotted butterfly radial stub connected in shunt with a short‐circuited section of a microstrip transmission line is proposed. A two pole filter based on the proposed structure has been designed, analyzed, and fabricated. A good agreement between the measured and the simulated results is observed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
