A way to increase the efficiency of previously designed microstrip interconnects is adding discrete capacitors between their strips. A closed form relation is obtained for optimum value of additional capacitors for previously designed microstrip interconnects, in this article. The effect of adding discrete capacitors is verified using an experimental example. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
