A new procedure for obtaining the equivalent currents on a plane surface from spherical near field measurements is proposed. It uses the modal expansion in spherical waves and the plane wave spectrum to achieve the objective. Some results using real measurements are shown. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
