Mode charts and Quality factor charts are computed using the mode matching method in the article. To get accurate Q factors, perturbation theory is applied. Using the charts, a six‐cavity DR filter is designed and fabricated. And the validity of the method is verified by experiment. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
