The application of the Erf transformation in the efficient and accurate evaluation of singular integrals is considered. It is shown that the transform can also be utilized in the efficient extrapolation computation of infinite integrals. An optimal grid spacing for the Erf transformation is proposed. Several numerical illustrations are given to show the usefulness of the proposed method in computational electromagnetics. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
