In this work, we propose a low‐impedance and highly miniaturized on‐chip Wilkinson power divider on MMIC, which was fabricated by a microstrip line structure employing periodically perforated ground metal (PPGM) with single‐sided via holes. Using the microstrip line with PPGM, a miniaturized 13 Ω power divider was fabricated. The size of the power divider was 0.110 mm 2 , which was 6% of conventional one. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
