A quasi‐elliptic lowpass filter using offset double‐sided parallel‐strip lines (DSPSL) is proposed in this article. The shunt stepped‐impedance stubs of DSPSL are added to realize quasi‐elliptic characteristics and to generate transmission zero near to the passband edge, hence improving the selectivity of the proposed lowpass filter. The simulated and measured results are presented with good agreements. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
