A novel single‐fed circularly polarized antenna is proposed with an hole through the whole antenna structure. Parameter studies are performed and design rules are brought out. Experimental results are compared to simulated ones, illustrating the feasibility and the performances of such antennas. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals,Inc.
