The short‐range line‐of‐sight (LoS) multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) channel transfer function is measured for a 4 × 4 system between 2.35 and 2.55 GHz for different antenna spacing and orientations in an indoor scenario. Capacity and correlation are investigated, and a mean capacity loss of 4 b/s/Hz is measured when the receiver is rotated 90°. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
