The electrostatic potential problem of an axially slotted coaxial cable is solved. A mode‐matching technique is used to obtain a set of simultaneous equations for the modal coefficients. The behavior of electrostatic potential distribution and capacitance is presented in terms of slotted coaxial cable geometries. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
